What is Grant a Wish, Inc. ?

In 1981, the Organization was founded by Anne Blair. She saw a need to help children who couldn’t always help themselves. With the assistance of Community patrons, groups and companies, Grant A Wish, Inc. has grown into an organization that now grants more than 5,000 wishes a year, helping needy, handicapped and abused children across the Chicagoland area.

Teachers and social workers from schools, hospitals, shelters and churches call the GAW office seeding help for a child. Grant A Wish, Inc. provides books, school supplies, eye exams, glasses, necessary toiletries and even handicap support. The group opens its arms to children of all cultures and origins, from underprivileged infants and children up to age 16, pregnant teens and mothers up to age 16, mentally challenged Children up to age 21.

1998 marks the 18th year Grant A Wish, Inc, has been providing for needy, handicapped and abused children in and around the Chicago area.

The children we serve deserve your help. GAW has NO government funding. Funds are raised by appealing to companies, individual donations, or fundraisers.

The GRANT A WISH, INC. Trademark was the FIRST registered in U.S.A. in 1981. Registration # 1,505,400. Our logo is the STAR FIGURE who represents an adult holding a child in his arms.

GRANT A WISH, INC. is NOT affiliated with any other organization. GAW is a non profit, tax-exempt organization serving needy children.
